Tashia Rice
“I'm excited to be a part of this panel because it is important for my family to give back to the Davie County community in any way we can. I grew up here and returned shortly after college, with that mission in mind. Although we recently moved to Rowan County to be closer to our children's school, this objective is still close to my heart. I currently serve the community in my primary job as a Child and Family Trauma Therapist at The Dragonfly House CAC and serve the faith community as a spiritual leader alongside my pastor husband. Being a part of the panel is a natural next step in helping younger residents make significant strides in making this community a better place to live, work, and play, as I endeavor to do the same in my spheres of influence.”

Whitney Fitzsimons
“One of my favorite aspects of DRI is the ability they have to offer young individuals the opportunity to be heard, and work to make a notable difference in the Davie County community. DRI not only gives youth between the ages of 12-21 a chance to share project ideas, but then they openly support, fund, and provide resources for those project ideas, so that they become a reality. As a public servant and young professional, I love aligning myself with organizations that teach young generations the value of human-centered experiences and the impact that can have on any communities overall quality of life. It is organizations such as DRI that help make the Davie Community a great place to live, work, and play!”
