Yes, any applicant can submit as many applications as he or she desires. Each application should be for a different Respect project.

3. Are there other ways I can become involved with the DRI?
4. May I get help with filling out an application?
Yes. Applicants can receive help from anyone they choose, from parents and family members to friends and teachers.
5. If I nominate someone, will you tell them who nominated them?
The DRI will not share with the nominee who nominated them. Once a nomination has been received, the DRI will contact the nominee and offer them an opportunity to complete an application for the Challenge.
6. If I apply, when will I know if my idea has been chosen?
Within two weeks of the quarterly due date.
7. What happens once I turn in my application?
The Selection Panel will be reviewing applications as they are received. At least once each quarter, selected applicants will be notified that they are eligible for an opportunity to share with the Selection Panel about the step-by-step plans they have for implementing their project.
8. What if my application is not chosen? Will I be notified of the status of my application?
Yes, every applicant who is not selected for an interview with the Selection Panel will be notified and provided with the opportunity to further develop and re-submit their application for consideration at a later point.
9. If I am selected as an Ambassador of Respect, when will I be notified?
Newly selected Ambassadors of Respect will be notified within 2 weeks after the due date for that quarter.
10. What can I expect after becoming an Ambassador of Respect?
The DRI will follow-up with each Ambassador over the weeks and months following selection to identify any areas of assistance needed and to learn more about the results of the project. Ambassadors may also be asked to provide information for one or more articles that could be written for the local media. There will be other opportunities to be involved with the DRI.
- Become a panelist for the DRI Selection Panel. The Selection Panel reviews all of the DRI applications and determines which applicants are selected for interviews and then which are selected as Ambassadors of Respect.
- Financial contributions to the award fund for the DRI are always welcome. Donations can be made to the Davie Community Foundation with a note in the memo line for Davie Respect Initiative.
- Invite a DRI Ambassador to speak to your club or organization about the DRI.
- Be a supporter of the Ambassadors of Respect as they develop and implement their projects. It may involve specific assistance with challenging aspects of the project.
- Join the DRI advisory group, which consists of individuals who are interested in becoming more involved in helping the DRI become an ever more integrated and important part of Davie County.
